CRASE

As you know, Temple Israel takes security very seriously. In light of several synagogue attacks and an increase in antisemitism, we will be hosting a course – on Sunday, April 10th beginning at 10:00 am (approximately 2-3 hours). Registration is required.

CRASE provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan to survive an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills. The Scranton Police Department will explain the structure of the department and will provide guidance on what to do when the police arrive.

If you register for this course, please be on time as the police have a strict schedule. They will conduct the course but will leave time for questions that you might have individually.

This course should be attended by any member who wants to get a better sense of our Temple security protocols already in place as well as what the police advise us to do in security breach situations. If you have any questions prior to this event, please reach out to me directly.
