Temple Israel is an egalitarian, multigenerational congregation that welcomes diversity, spirituality and community.  It is our mission to create and provide a dynamic, family friendly, caring, and spiritually rich environment for our members, to cultivate and strengthen the bonds of our Jewish heritage and to foster meaningful connections for Jewish learning, celebration, and social activities in order to help build and sustain a vibrant Jewish community in Scranton and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
