Education
The Reba and Art Douglass Religious School strives to provide relevant and engaging instruction to children of our congregation. Classes are structured to accommodate participants ranging in age from primary grades through high school. Classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 PM as well as on Shabbat. Specific information regarding the participation opportunities for children and families is available by checking the website or calling the Temple Executive Director.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah students receive special attention as the Rabbi, Cantor and faculty work to assist the prospective bar/bat mitzvah candidate in gaining both familiarity and practice in synagogue skills. A “standards based” checklist of competencies required for bar/bat mitzvah is available for parents and will be discussed when the initial planning meeting with Rabbi is scheduled.
